In an experiment performed in collaboration with members of the TiFOON consortium, we have set a new record for comparison of distant ultrastable lasers through an optical fibre network.  Our work, published today in Nature Communications, demonstrates how the precision of cutting-edge optical frequency standards in national metrology institutes can be made available through optical fibre to a much larger community of users.
