Micro Photon Devices (MPD) is a leading provider of solid-state single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs), fabricated using custom silicon, standard CMOS or InGaAs/InP technologies, timing modules, and related electronics. The company is also able to develop custom designs for specific applications related to photon counting detection technologies.

MPD participates in technical work-package WP1 based on its expertise in the design and production of single-photon counters for the visible and infrared range, spanning a range from 400 nm to 1600 nm, both for free-space and fibre-coupled applications.
