Zhechao Qu of project partner PTB recently presented a poster on work under the IMPRESS 2 project at the Third International Workshop on Oxy-Fuel Combustion from March 4th to 5th, 2020 in Montabaur, Germany.

The poster, Effects of the spatial heterogeneity of gas matrix and thermal boundary layers on absolute TDLAS HCl measurements in hot flue gases, provides a better understanding of the effects of spatial gas matrix heterogeneity on the absolute accuracy of the spectrometer. A simulation model has been used to analyze the effects of spatial heterogeneities on dTDLAS HCl concentration measurement. The poster can be found here, and also over on our Documents and Publications page.

The Third International Workshop on Oxy-Fuel Combustion focused on combustion of solid

fuels in air and CO2/O2-atmosphere. It looked to address researchers in industry, universities and

research centers concerned with solid fuel combustion and heat transfer processes.
