An Empa spin off company, MIRO Analytical Technologies, has been founded to exploit the latest mid-IR laser technology and will be associated as a stakeholder to the MetNO2 project. MIRO have integrated technology developed at the ETH Zürich and the Empa into a compact high precision multi-compound gas analyser. This laser based spectrometer directly and simultaneously measures up to 10 of the most important greenhouse gases and air pollutants including NO2.
