Dynamic generation

For AMCs with a high boiling point (≥250 °C) no reference materials in cylinders can be prepared to calibrate or validate instrumentation. Within the MetAMC project, a dynamic generation method is therefore developed for an important sub-class, the semi-volatile organic compounds (semi-VOCs) up to C18.

Using a suitable dilution and sampling systems, (sub)nmol/mol amount of substance fractions are prepared based on a heated generation system. For the dilution system several methods are tested, including sonic nozzles and heated and coated mass-flow controllers. (Ref: IND63 MetAMC).
